Equinox is a 2-player co-op game, where you and your friend must work together to get through the levels. The only thing you need is a keyboard and a friend.

 For as long as memory stretches, the world stood still.

 One half bathed forever in sunlight, a land of warmth, growth, and brilliance. The other slumbered beneath an endless night, a realm of calm, silence, and stars.

 Between them lay the Twilight Belt, where day and night touched in harmony.

 The people of the Day and the people of the Night lived apart, yet at peace. Different, but not divided. Theirs was a quiet balance that had lasted for countless generations.

 Until the world began to move. At first, it was subtle.

 The sun dimmed where it should not, the stars flickered out of rhythm. Then came tremors, shifting light and dark, as if the world itself were losing balance. No one knew why.

 Fearing disaster, the Day and Night Kingdoms each sent a chosen warrior to the Twilight, a warrior of the Sun and a guardian of the Moon, to find the Axis and uncover the truth.

 The Axis was an ancient structure that controlled the movement of the world, which was located at the border where day and night met.

 When they finally reached the Axis, the two met for the first time, strangers bound by duty more than trust. As they drew near, the air itself seemed to hum with life. And then a voice echoed all around them.

 The Axis was not a machine. It was alive. It spoke to them: 

 ”The world trembles not because it moves, but because your hearts do. You once lived in balance, now your hatred poisons me. ” 

 The Axis demanded proof that harmony could still exist between them. To restore balance, the two would have to journey together, facing the trials set by the Axis along the Twilight Border.

 When they finally succeeded, the Axis grew still once more. The two heroes returned to their people carrying the truth: that the world would remain at peace only so long as they did.

 From that day on, the Sun and Moon were not symbols of division, but of unity, forever bound by the twilight between them.
